Re: Dennis Waterman RIP
Sad news, was a big part of my childhood, loved him in Minder, although couldn't get on with The Sweeney.

As said no saint, but he never claimed to be one.

RIP Tel, go and a have a pint with Arthur.

Re: Dennis Waterman RIP

Loved the Sweeny but he'll be best remembered for the part he played as part of the double act with George Cole in 'Minder' which is part of tv folklore in the UK.

RIP Terence.

Would be a large V.A.T for Arthur ..... on the slate, Dave

Sad to hear, Minder & The Sweeney were two absolute classic series.
You could see how good he was when you looked at the Minder episodes after he left & they tried to replace him with Arthurs nephew.

Genuinely saddened by this. As with the departure of anyone from the tapestry of late youth.

Sad News
Dennis came from a family of very good boxers. He boxed as a decent amateur. Originally family were from East End.. Even his sisters learnt to box. His elder Brother Peter Waterman was British and European Welter champion back in the mid 50's

Re: Dennis Waterman RIP
Sad news this, I liked him in both his major roles and although he was down as a wife beater his other ex wives seemed to love him even though they were ex's.

Re: Dennis Waterman RIP
I took my Mum to see him in My Fair Lady, playing Alf Doolittle, (Eliza's dad) for her birthday. He was very, very good. You don't realise how talented a lot of these actors are until you see them on the stage.

Rest in Peace Terry
